Muramatsu Serial Number List

 Posted admin

Maybe if you contacted Muramatsu America they would be able to help you? I can tell you that my headjoint is marked with a hallmark and the model (EX) is on the body and precedes the serial number. There are no numbers on my headjoint. However, mine is the only Muramatsu I have seen in person and so maybe the older models are labeled differently? Mine was made in 2002. Good luck; I hope you get some information that helps you out in authenticating your flute!

Do you know where i could find the serial numbers for muramatsu mine is 29136., anyone know what model it could be.? I'll have to find out when my piccolo was made- actually both of them- I have a solid silver 'CSS' Gemeinhardt (whose model number was long ago replaced) and a Zentner wood picc, which is no longer made. The history of modern flute-making in Japan began in 1923 with the very first flute made by the late pioneer, Koichi Muramatsu, an eminent artisan and the founder of Muramatsu Flutes. At that time, the number of amateur and professional flute players in Japan totaled a mere twenty. Muramatsu's devoted efforts and passion for flute-making remain alive in the fundamental philosophy of Muramatsu Flutes today.
